It was just a solid selection for a weekend breather in Oban with value for money. The bed was like lying on a sack of coal, making sleep difficult. Make sure to bring your own snacks as the breakfast was pretty disappointing.

Recently refurbished venue, pleasant staff. Lovely building and rooms where toilet was also based. Unbeatable location, particularly good breakfast with plenty of food. Honestly no reason to complain.

waterfront location, vintage decor, affordable pricing
The bathroom situation needs immediate attention, with toilets squeezed into cupboard-sized rooms!!! The carpets are worn out and could scare anyone with an aversion to dirt. And where's the Wi-Fi in the rooms? Such a letdown!!!

The place was reasonably priced. We had a nice experience in this cheerful hotel. The whole room was comfy and had an electric kettle, a TV with satellite channels and a radio. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the breakfast was satisfactory.

I found the room comfy and clean, and the breakfast was great, coming out quick and tasty. The hotel offers a lovely pool and a cozy lounge area, perfect for winding down after a long day. A tiny downside was the noise from the bar below, but it didn't ruin my stay at all! 😊

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed our stay but faced a few hiccups. The double room we booked was cozy, though a tad outdated. Breakfast was lovely. The fresh pastries stood out! For a more comfortable experience, request a non-smoking room away from the bar area to minimize noise.

The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the center. Breakfast was decent, pretty simple but cooked well. The staff were nice n helped us drop off our luggage early. Our room had a great view of the bay which was really chill. It's good for a quick family getaway.

Had a blast with friends ! We enjoyed the fine views of the bay from our room and the friendly staff. Don't miss ordering breakfast the night before. It's served hot and fresh, a sure winner! We also checked out the local music scene which was a fun highlight of our trip.
One downside was the outdated bathroom fixtures. Our shower was a bit temperamental. It took a while for the water to warm up, a minor inconvenience but nothing to ruin our experience.

would come again
The location is amazing with fine views over Oban bay. The room had a private bathroom, TV, and was clean, but felt dated. Breakfast included decent options like scrambled eggs and toast. The staff was helpful, and I loved the little bar with live music. Spa facilities were nice but needed a bit of an update.

I booked a room here because it was one of the few places that accepted dogs. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the center with a lovely view of the harbor. The staff were really friendly and helpful, always ready to assist and give me recommendations. Breakfast was decent, simple but cooked well, though it could use a few more options like tattie scones or haggis. The room itself was quite disappointing. It felt outdated with worn furniture and a tiny bathroom. The shower control clunked in and out of the wall, and at times, the water temperature was inconsistent. I expected a bit more for the price I paid. It's good for a quick getaway, but not ideal for a longer stay.
